Questions

The honest answers.

What's the $49 founding price?

The first 200 customers pay $49 instead of $79. You get a license key on purchase that works on up to 3 of your Macs. The price you paid is locked — if we raise it later, you owe nothing further. You can also download and try Speechmark free first.

Is this a subscription?

No. $49 now for the first 200 customers (then $79), on up to 3 of your Macs, for the app and at least 12 months of updates. Future cloud features (higher-quality processing, sync) will be a separate optional subscription that you only pay for if you want them.

Does the license cover multiple Macs?

Yes. One license key works on up to 3 of your Macs at once. You can see and manage which Macs are using it at any time, and swap one out when you replace a machine.

What if I don't like it?

30-day money-back, no questions. Reply to your purchase email or write to hello@speechmark.co.

I bought before. How do I restore on a new Mac?

Open Speechmark → Settings → License → paste the same key you got at purchase. That's it. Lost the email? Write to hello@speechmark.co with the address you bought under.

Why one-time pricing? Aren't subscriptions better?

Better for whom? Privacy-conscious buyers want to own software. Speechmark is a tool, not a service. It does its work on your Mac, with no servers in the loop. Charging monthly for that would be dishonest.
